IDENTIFY SEQUENCE
Work with a group to make a time line for Who Was Martin Luther King, Jr.? Follow these steps.
1 What happened first? Draw a dot. Write the year that Martin was born. Then write a sentence that tells what happened in that year.
2 What happened next? Draw a line. Add another dot for each important date and event. Tell what happened. Use words from the story to write the sentence.
3 Use your finished time line to tell the class about the life of Martin Luther King, Jr. Each student in your group can tell about one of the events on the time line.
