What are the story elements?

A character is a person or animal in a story.

The setting is the time and place that the story happens.

The plot is what happens in the story from the beginning to the middle to the end.

ASK FOR AND GIVE ADVICE

1.–2. Imagine that you are the superhero in the picture. Ask a partner: What should I do to get away? Your partner gives you advice. Then change roles.

    Example

  • 1. What should I do to get away? You should use your rope and climb the mountain.

3.–6. Talk with a partner. Take turns thinking of advice to give to the monster in the picture. Say 4 sentences.
