Studying Space

Galileo used a small telescope to study the universe.

In the early 1600s, a scientist named Galileo Galilei used a telescope to study outer space. The telescope allowed him to see things 20 times larger than he could without it. He used the telescope to describe great things.

Hundreds of years passed. We learned more about the solar system. But we wanted to do more. We wanted to blast off into it, too.
