HEALTH & SCIENCE

HEALTH & SCIENCE

How do scientists share information about the natural world? One way is to describe what they see, hear, smell, and touch. Be a scientist. Describe a natural environment, or place, you know well.

  • 1 Make a Plan Choose a place in nature. Think about your point of view. Do you live there? Is it a place you visit? Write words that you picture in your mind.

  • 2 Create a Chart Organize the words. Describe things you see, hear, smell, or touch. Organize the important details first.

  • 3 Practice Your Presentation Follow these steps.

    • • Name the environment.

    • • Tell what it looks, sounds, smells, and feels like. Talk about the most important details first.

    • • Record and listen to your presentation.

    • • Add more details, if you need to.
