The washer could be on top of the dryer and have a trapdoor that opens when the drain cycle is complete. The clothes would drop into the dryer, making it start. A computerized device could time each of the cycles.
Reeba didn’t make a working model of her invention because it would have cost thousands of dollars to build. Instead, she did what many inventors do: Reeba drew a diagram of her invention. Then she made a model of it, from cardboard. From her diagram and model, people could see how her invention would look.
Reeba’s invention won a prize at her school’s invention fair. She also won a prize from a national organization that included a trip to Washington, DC.
Reeba hopes to become a doctor, engineer, or senator. She believes that the ability to keep trying is the key to anyone’s success.
