In the early 1900s, it was easy for most Europeans to come to the U.S. But for people from China, it wasn’t so easy. The U.S. government enacted a law that kept many Chinese from entering the country.

The law said that upon their arrival, Chinese travelers had to pass special health examinations. If they didn’t pass, they couldn’t enter the country. This kept many Chinese from entering the U.S.

Family History

After that, he sent for his wife and children. They arrived in 1928.
