Refugees Find New Lives

Peter Wal and David Gai landed in Boston, Massachusetts, on a cold March night in 2002, with no money, no coats, and little more than the clothes they were wearing. As refugees from the violence and poverty of Sudan during the late 1980s and 1990s, Wal and Gai had known enough hunger and terror to last a lifetime.
