Owen follows Mzee wherever he goes. Visitors to Haller Park gather to watch feeding time every afternoon.

When Owen was first introduced to his new home at Haller Park, he hid behind Mzee for safety. He was frightened and alone. Then, to everyone’s surprise, Owen began to follow Mzee wherever he went.

Park officials say that Mzee liked to be alone until Owen came along. Mzee wasn’t sure about Owen at first. Gradually, Mzee began to accept his new companion.
