1 Write a fraction:
Ask yourself how many of the people are kids. This is the numerator. How many people are there in the whole family? This is the denominator.
2 Write a decimal:
Divide the numerator by the denominator.
3 Write a percent:
Multiply the decimal by 100. Add the percent symbol.
