Negative Sentences and Contractions With Not
Contractions can be used to build sentences with negative past tense verbs.
Add the word not after was and were.
Len was not scared.
Eddie and Miguel were not happy.
With other verbs, add did not before the verb.

When you add did not to a sentence, take the -ed off the main verb.
Build Sentences
Read the sentences in number 1. Then answer the questions in number 2. Say your answer in a complete sentence. Use did not, was not, or were not.
