Study Verb Endings

For some verbs, you can just add -ing. leap + ing = leaping jump + ing = jumping

This verb ends in silent e. smile When you add -ing, drop the e. + ing = smiling

This verb ends in one vowel and one consonant. tap When you add -ing, double the consonant. tapping
