Vocabulary Study: Use Word Parts

A compound word is made up of two or more smaller words. Sometimes you can define a compound word if you know the meanings of the smaller words, or you can use context clues to figure out the meaning. For example:

wild + life = wildlifeWildlife is another word for plants and animals that live in their natural habitat.
