Fight for Freedom
Joseph and his family lived on a rich, prosperous island in the Caribbean. When he was young, he was free. When he grew up, a new government controlled the island. People who were born in the country and were native to it, like Joseph and his family, were forced to work for no pay.
Joseph and his family should have been protected from abuse, but they received unfair treatment. Finally, they rebelled. They fought the government for many years and finally won. They began a new government. They gave their free, independent country a new name.
