1 CHOOSE AN ANIMAL

Think of animals you want to study. Think of life in the forest, pond, seashore, and farm. Think of animals in the city. Choose an animal.
2 GATHER FACTS

Research your animal. Ask your teacher or librarian for help. Write what you know. Use information sources to check your facts and discover new facts. Make a chart. Write your facts in the first column of the chart.

Gather sensory details about your animal. Think about how it looks, sounds, and feels.
3 WRITE YOUR OPINIONS

What do you think or believe about the animal? Add your opinions to the second column of the chart.
