The Dry Deserts

The Southwest has miles and miles of desert land to explore. The deserts are hot and dry. In some places, you can see nothing but sand. Sometimes deserts go without rain for months.

Even though the Southwest is dry, it still has cactuses and many other plants. These plants are able to live without a lot of water. A cactus plant is a tall plant. You will see amazing plants on your tour of the big Southwest.
