Desert Animals

Life in the Southwest desert is hard. The weather is often hot. The desert also has very little water. Yet animals have found ways to survive. Some animals never drink. They get water by eating seeds and plants. Many animals hunt and eat at night. This keeps them out of the hot sun.

This bat hunts at night, when the desert is cool.
