Then write the rest of the paragraph using details.

Revise

When you revise a draft, you make your writing better. First, you need to know what a reader thinks of your work. Mario read his paper to a partner.

Then Mario knew he had to make changes. What additional changes can he make?

Now follow these steps to revise your paper.

  • 1 DECIDE WHAT TO CHANGE

Read to a partner. Your partner will ask you questions with who, what, when, where, how, and why. Do you need to add text to develop your ideas?

  • 2 MARK YOUR CHANGES

If you need to add text, use this mark: illustration of caret insertion mark that looks like an upside down V.
