Writing Project

Edit and Proofread

Check your paragraph for mistakes. Follow these steps.

  • 1 CHECK PROPER NOUNS

Remember to capitalize proper nouns, titles, and initials of people when you write.

  • 2 CHECK YOUR SPELLING

Circle each word that may be misspelled. Look it up in the dictionary or ask for help. Fix the spelling if you need to.

  • 3 CHECK YOUR DATES

When you write dates, always capitalize the name of the day of the month. Always place commas after the day of the week and the date. If you list only the month and year, place a comma after the month.
