Writing Project

Edit and Proofread

After you have revised your draft, check it for mistakes. Follow these steps.

  • 1 CHECK YOUR ADJECTIVES

Adjectives make your poem more interesting. They give details about your topic and help the reader understand important things about it. Choose adjectives for your poem that help readers make a picture of your topic in their mind.

  • 2 CHECK YOUR SPELLING

Circle each word that may be misspelled. Look it up in the dictionary or ask for help. Fix the spelling if you need to.
