Study the Models When you write about a folk tale, use complete and clear sentences so your reader can understand and appreciate what you have to say. A complete sentence has both a subject and a verb. A clear sentence has a subject and a verb that go together.

Folk tales are made-up stories that often include children and talking animals. Some folk tales is the same in different countries. The theme of “Little Red Riding Hood” is the same in China, France, and Germany. A little girl in red are on her way to visit her grandmother. On her way, she meets a wolf who pretends to be friendly.

The reader thinks: “Is it one folk tale or more than one folk tale?” The sentence isn’t clear.
