Adverbs are words that describe verbs, adjectives, or other adverbs. Adverbs can tell how, when, and where.
• Use an adverb to describe a verb. Adverbs often end in -ly.
EXAMPLE | The storm came verb suddenly. |
Tell where | We went north. |
Tell when | We stopped early. |
Tell how | We wanted to rest safely. |
• Use an adverb to make an adjective or another adverb stronger.
