The Mighty Lungs

The lungs are two organs

That keep the air flowing.

The right and the left keep your body going.

They work every second, every hour of the day.

24/7, they are working away.

Your lungs keep you breathing.

There’s one on each side.

You breathe air through your nose and also your mouth.

The trachea takes the air and pulls it on through

To your diaphragm that helps push it in and then out.

So the next time you are taking

A deep breath or a sigh,

Running a race, or sleeping at night,

Know that your lungs are working

From morning until night.
