Define and Explain

The chant on page 265 defines and explains the lungs. How would you define and explain the brain or stomach in a chant?

Work with a group to write a chant about one of these body parts: brain, nose, knee, elbow, feet, heart, stomach, or arms. Make a list of interesting facts or uses for the body part. Use your list as you define and explain the body part in a chant. Share your chant with the class.

Use Possessive Nouns

When you define and explain something, you may need to use possessive nouns. Remember to use the apostrophe () correctly.

ActionExample
