Interview and Summary: Interview with a Musher
Summary
The sports reporter interviewed one of the mushers, or sled guides, who finished well in the Iditarod, the world-famous sled dog race in Alaska. The musher explained that he used teams of 12 to 16 dogs to travel over 1,000 miles over extremely cold and rugged terrain. In order to finish the difficult race, the musher and his dogs depended on each other during the race. The musher added that his dogs were brave and willing to work hard, and, in return, he cared for and respected them like family. As the musher and his dogs left the finish line, the reporter wished them well.
