Animals act in all kinds of ways that can surprise us. Which animal do you want to find out more about?
Work with a partner to research an animal. Find out how the animal behaves and what makes it special. Use books, the Internet, or other sources to find information about the animal you choose.
Download a photo or draw a picture of the animal. Label its body parts. Include interesting facts about the animal’s behavior with your labels.
With your partner, show your picture to a group of classmates. Tell your classmates how your animal behaves. Explain the interesting facts you discovered.
Think about the pronouns you will use in your explanation.
First use a noun to tell about your animal. Then use a subject pronoun to refer to it. Remember, a subject pronoun can refer to a subject noun.
Subject noun: | The octopus changes color to trick enemies. |
Subject pronoun: | It can blend into the background. |
