1 List Animals Work with a group to brainstorm a list of about twenty animals. Choose a person in the group to write down the animals’ names.
2 As a group, pick specific animals from the list that you will research together. Make a chart of at least five animals. Make predictions about each animal’s eyesight. Listen to each other’s ideas. List the animals in order, from the animal that the group thinks sees the best to the animal that the group thinks sees the worst.
3 Conduct Research Talk about where you could learn more about the animals on your list. Collect facts about each animal online and see if your predictions are correct.

4 Discuss Your Findings Once you confirm the information about each animal, revise your chart if necessary. Share your chart with the class, and discuss which predictions were correct and which ones were not.
