Language and Grammar: Tell an Original Story

Group Tale With a group, create a new story to tell. First, brainstorm the topic of the story. Then, one person starts the story with a sentence or two. When that person stops, the next person continues the story to tell what happens next. Continue around the group several times until you create an end to the story. Use possessive words correctly.

One day a shopkeeper stepped out of his store. What he saw surprised him.

The shopkeeper shouted, “Who left this mess at my door?”

Writing and Grammar: Write Clear Stories

Study the Models When you write, make sure your reader can understand who is doing what. Make it clear who has or owns something. This helps the reader follow the plot.
