Jo works at the City Animal Hospital. I asked her to tell me about what she does at her job.

I have a great job. I love to help the animals. Look. This cat got hit by traffic. It is so sad when that happens. I had to make her a special bed. She has to lie down a lot.

This is Samson. Samson has a bad rash. He has this thing around his neck so he can’t bite the skin under it. Sometimes we play catch. He needs to run a lot. He likes to run down the hill to the park. We rest under the trees. I like to look at the sky above us as Samson sleeps.

This rabbit is Velvet. I like to brush him. He is so soft! Velvet had to get his shots. He needs to rest for a day or two. Then he will go home.

So, that is my job. I help hundreds of animals. It is great to see them get well. I miss them when people come to take them home.
