Fun Time at Home
Time at home can be spent at work and play. As a rule, the work comes first, and then it’s time for fun.
Jobs at home can be endless. In the winter, most jobs take place inside the home. All the people in a family can take part—both adults and kids. They can mop a floor until it shines. Even kids can scrub a tub and shake the dust out of rugs and drapes.
But even in winter, time at home is not just about work. There is time for fun games inside, such as jacks, chess, and “Go Fish.” You can play a tune on a flute, sing a tune, or bake a batch of cupcakes. You can also go outside to slide on your sleds or skate on the ice.
Then in the spring, jobs can include things you do outside. In the bright sunshine, you can rake and dig a plot for plants. You can give your deck a rinse and then a new coat of paint. You can pick up all those sticks and branches that broke off the trees and rake them into a big pile.
But you can also have fun in the sun when it’s hot! You can ride bikes, skate on the sidewalk, catch a ball, and fly a kite. You can make a grid on the pavement. Then get a rock or a stone and use it to play hopscotch. You can get a rope and jump rope with a pal.
