Use a subject pronoun as the subject of a sentence.
• Use I when you talk about yourself.
EXAMPLE | I visited a volcano. |
• Use you when you talk to another person.
EXAMPLE | You visited a volcano, too. |
• Use he when you talk about one man or one boy.
EXAMPLE | Juan has a camera. He takes photos of volcanoes. |
• Use she when you talk about one woman or one girl.
EXAMPLE | My aunt is a scientist. She studies volcanoes. |
• Use it when you talk about one thing, one place, or one idea.
EXAMPLE | Kilauea is a volcano. It is very interesting. |
Say each sentence or pair of sentences. Choose the correct pronoun from the chart above.
