Use Complete Sentences
Remember, a complete sentence has two parts: the subject and the predicate.
| EXAMPLE | The artist paints interesting images. |
• A statement is a sentence that tells something. In a statement, the subject usually comes before the predicate.
EXAMPLE The name of the artistis Paul Gauguin. • A simple sentence is a sentence with one subject and one predicate.
EXAMPLE Many of Gauguin’s paintingshang in museums.
