Government Powers

When the government was planned, leaders didn’t want any branch of government to have too much power. The Constitution says what each branch of government can and can’t do. Each branch makes sure the other branches do not get too much power. The three branches work together to run the country.

The U.S. Constitution may look like a piece of paper with words. But it is a very important document that protects all of our freedoms.
