Josh Parsons wanted to help David Potter play baseball. Both of David’s arms had been amputated below the elbows because of an accident he had when he was two years old. Still, David wanted to be on a Little League team. Josh thought he could help David.
Even without hands, David could catch and bat a ball! He caught the ball in a glove he wore at the end of his left arm. To bat, David held the bat between his left upper arm and chest. He used his right arm to push the bat. The only thing David couldn’t do was throw a ball. Josh hoped he could change that.
