Two different cultures in just one land,

Could they walk together, hand in hand?

In some ways they were different,

And in some ways the same,

The Aztec and Spanish–we know them by name.

The Aztec were there when the Spanish arrived.

With different traditions, both cultures survived.

Then slowly the two cultures

Started to blend,

And Mexico had a new culture in the end.
