Best Friends

My best friend had a bracelet.
I wanted a bracelet, too.
I wished,
I hoped,
I waited,
But my wish did not come true.

My friend gave me a bracelet.
I didn’t know she knew!
I smiled,
She laughed,
We hugged.
That’s just
what best friends do.
