Study Verb Endings

For some verbs, you can just add -ed. wish + ed = wished need + ed = needed

This verb ends in silent e. smile When you add -ed, drop the e. + ed = smiled

This verb ends in one vowel and one consonant. hug When you add -ed, double the consonant. hugged
