Dig into a Bun!
Tim put a mat on the table for Bud. Then Tim got Nan a mat and one for himself. Tim put a small plate on each mat. Tim put a large mug on each mat. Then Tim got a big jug of milk.
“Sit!” said Tim. “Go on! Sit! Sit! Sit!” Bud sat and Nan sat, but Tim did not sit. Tim said, “I will sit, but I must get something first. “What is it?” ask Bud and Nan. “Is it a gift for us?”
Tim got a big, flat pan. “It is not a gift, but you will like it. It is six plum buns in a pan! I made six plum buns for us!”
“Do not drop the pan, Tim!” said Nan. “Do not slip or trip, Tim!” said Bud. Tim did not trip or slip, and he did not drop the plum buns. Tim sat and took a big, fat, hot bun. “Have one,” said Tim. “Dig in! Eat up!” Bud took a big, fat, hot bun.
Bud has a sip and lifts a bun to his lips. “Mmm,” said Bud. “A hot bun is not bad with milk! I will dunk my bun in milk, and I will try to not drip it on the rug!”
“Grab a bun, Nan!” said Bud. “Grab a big, fat, hot bun, and dunk it in milk!
“I will!” said Nan. And that is just what she did! What fun!
