Earth is a watery planet.
Twenty-five percent is land.
The rest is oceans, ice, rivers, and lakes.
So learn to swim if you can.
Ocean water tastes salty.
Fresh water has salts in it, too,
But not enough to make you sick.
So that’s a good thing for you.
Earth is a watery planet.
But there is no water to waste.
Only 3 percent of our water is fresh.
So don’t use too much,
Unless you love the taste…
of salt.

  • Fact 1: If the salt in the oceans could be spread out on land, it would cover all the continents. The salt would rise 500 feet!
